ELIZABETHTOWN — Debo Lewis walked with the bases loaded to bring home the winning run Friday afternoon as East Bladen rallied for a 4-3 win against West Bladen in a junior varsity baseball game at Russell Priest Field.

West Bladen had snapped a 2-all tie in the top of the seventh when Jonah Bryan drew a one-out walk, stole second, advanced to third on a wild pitch and beat the throw home on Aiden Russ’ grounder to second.

The Eagles won the game without an out being recorded. Aiden Hargrove walked, stole second and moved to third on Braylon Cromartie’s bunt single. Easton Bostic followed with a game-tying single to left that plated Hargrove. Zach Sholar and Lewis followed with walks on full-count pitches to end the game.

East Bladen is 4-2 in the Southeastern Athletic Conference and 7-2 overall after avenging Tuesday’s 8-7 loss against the Knights. West Bladen is 1-3 in the conference and 3-5 in all games.

Cole Butler was credited with the win after yielding a run on no hits with a walk and two strikeouts in the seventh inning. Lewis pitched the first six innings and scattered six hits, allowed two runs, struck out four and walked three.

Tyler Lewis was the losing pitcher in relief of Weston Hilburn. Hilburn pitched the first four innings and yielded a run on two hits, struck out four and walked four. West Bladen grabbed a 2-1 lead in the sixth when Russ’ double to center scored Bryan, who had walked and stol second. Aiden Russ scored on Allister Russ’ two-out infield single.

East Bladen tied it with a run in the bottom of the sixth. Butler was hit by a pitch, stole second, advanced to third on a passed ball and scored when Isaiah Lee’s ground ball was mishandled.
