ELIZABETHTOWN – The Braves swept both games of a Dixie Boys Baseball doubleheader against the Rays Monday night by scores of 6-0 and 10-5 to raise their record to 2-1.

Cole Brisson pitched a 2-hitter and struck out 5 batters to lead the Braves to a 6-0 win in the opener.
Gavin Brisson pounded a drive to deep right-center field in the 2nd inning and an error on the play scored him with the game’s 1st run. Aaron Rogers hammered a triple, and Luke Bryant belted a single in the 3rd inning. Rogers’ scored to put the Braves up 2-0.
Cole Brisson blasted a triple to start the Braves’ 4th inning. Devan Stanley, Andrew Wren and Rogers drew walks, and Sam Cummings crushed a triple. Cole Brisson, Stanley, Wren and Cummings all scored to grow the lead to 6-0.
Cole Brisson finished 2-for-3 at the plate with a triple and a run scored. Cummings and Rogers slugged triples and scored runs. Gavin Brisson doubled and scored, and Bryant and Brooks Carroll smacked singles. Stanley and Wren both scored runs.
Dylan McLaurin slammed a triple to lead the Ray hitters, and Hutchens Glenn singled.

Cole Brisson doubled, and Dylan Brisson and Rogers laced singles during a 6-run, 3rd inning rally that snapped a 4-4 tie and propelled the Braves to a 10-5 victory over the Rays in Monday’s nightcap.
Bryant, Carroll and Wren all drew walks and scored runs in the pivotal 3rd inning, and Cole Brisson, Stanley and Dylan Brisson also scored to open up a 10-4 Braves lead.
Jace Butler was hit by a pitch and scored the final Rays run in the 5th inning.
Rex Register and Claxton Tatum started the game with 1st inning singles for the Rays, and Glenn walked. All 3 of them scored for a 3-0 Rays lead.
The Braves answered with 4 runs in the bottom of the inning. Bryant and Wren clobbered doubles, Carroll delivered a single, and Stanley and Gavin Brisson walked. Bryant, Carroll, Stanley and Wren all scored to put the Braves on top 4-3.
Thomas Stevens drew a lead-off walk in the Rays 3rd inning, and Tatum knocked him in with a single to tie the score 4-4.
Bryant, Cole Brisson and Wren ripped doubles to lead the Rays hitters. Carroll, Stanley, Dylan Brisson and Rogers connected for 1 hit each. Carroll, Stanley, Bryant, and Wren scored 2 runs each, and Dylan Brisson and Cole Brisson scored 1 run each.
Tatum batted 2-for-3 to lead the Rays hitters. Register and Cameron Thompson added 1 hit each. Register, Tatum, Glenn, Stevens and Butler scored 1 run each.
Brooks Carroll pitched a complete game 4-hitter for the Braves and struck out 7 batters to pick up the win.
