The East Bladen at Whiteville football game has been moved to Thursday night because of the forecast for rain Friday night, according to East Bladen athletic director Patty Evers.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Legion Stadium. It will be East Bladen’s final game of the regular season.
According to the National Weather Service, there is a 40% chance of rain Friday and a 30% chance Friday night.
East Bladen is 4-1 in the split Waccamaw 1A/2A Conference and 5-4 overall. The Eagles, a 1A school, lost 24-8 last Friday to conference-leading West Columbus, also a 1A school.
Whiteville leads the 2A schools in the Waccamaw Conference with a 3-1 league record. The Wolfpack is 6-2 overall.
The junior varsity football game between the schools also has been rescheduled to Monday at 6 p.m. at East Bladen. The game originally was scheduled to be played Thursday.
