KENLY – North Johnston defeated West Bladen 7-2 Wednesday in the opening round of the NCHSAA Class 2A Dual Team tennis playoffs. Sophomores Lauren Douglas and Faith Wren won points for the Lady Knights at No. 5 and No. 6 singles.
West Bladen’s doubles team of senior Yari Santana and junior Yuri Santana will compete in the Class 2A MidEast Regional Friday at Flaherty Park in Wake Forest.
