usafootball13Majuan McKoy and Jordan Robinson combined to rush for 472 yards and 5 touchdowns to lead Elizabethtown to a 30-12 Bladen Five Middle School Conference victory over visiting Clarkton School of Discovery Thursday night.

McKoy broke loose for touchdown runs of 80, 60 and 40 yards and finished with 237 yards rushing in the game. Robinson dashed 70 yards for one touchdown and 40 yards for his second TD. Robinson racked up 135 yards rushing.

“The offensive line did a great job blocking for those guys,” said Cougar Coach Ricardo Melvin. “We had a great defensive effort for this game. We shut them out in the second half.”

Elizabethtown led 14-12 at halftime. Lefrederick Wooten passed to McKoy for one Cougar 2-point conversion. Teammate Cody Butler ran for a pair of 2-point conversions.

Elizabethtown, now 2-0 on the season, will travel to Bladenboro next Thursday. Clarkton drops to 0-2 and will be at Tar Heel next Thursday.
