ELIZABETHTOWN- Whiteville Central racked up 14 hits and defeated Elizabethtown 25-1 Wednesday in Waccamaw Middle School Conference ‘AA’ Division softball action.
Elizabethtown, now 0-3 in the ‘AA’ Division and 0-6 overall, will travel to Williams Monday. Whiteville improved to 2-0 in ‘AA’ Division play and 3-3 overall.
K. Soles led the Lady Hornet hitters with a 4-for-5 performance. B. Worley smoked a 3-run home run to the fence in the 1st inning. P. McPherson batted 3-for-3 with a double. S. Landis was also 3-for-3 with a double.
Sana’a Singletary batted 2-for-2 with a double to lead the Elizabethtown hitters, and Racquel Whittington smacked a single. Gabbi Smith was hit by a pitch and scored the Lady Cougar run on a wild pitch.
