East Bladen’s girls’ soccer program has received 11 awards from the North Carolina Soccer Coaches Association. The NCSCA conducted its’ Spring Executive Meeting this past weekend and voted on their awards for the 2024 spring season.
East Bladen senior Heidi Rebollar and junior Jackie Medina-Leal were both named to the NCSCA All-State Team. It was Rebollar’s 2nd All-State selection and the 1st for Medina-Leal.
Lady Eagle Coach Jay Raynor noted that it was the 1st time that East Bladen had 2 All-State selections in the same year, and the 1st time a Lady Eagle had earned All-State honors more than once.
Seven different Lady Eagles earned NCSCA All-Region Honors for Region 5. Those 7 honorees and the years they have been All-Region follow:
• Heidi Rebollar – 3rd selection (2022,2023,2024)
• Jackie Medina-Leal – 3rd selection (2022,2023,2024)
• Zoe Smith – 3rd selection (2022,2023,2024)
• Reese Hester – 2nd selection (2023, 2024)
• Gabby Rebollar – 2nd time selection (2023, 2024)
• Molly Evans – 2nd selection (2023, 2024)
• Anna Miranda – 1st selection (2024)
Coach Raynor was named NCSCA Region Coach of The Year for Region 5. It was the 6th time that Raynor has been selected as the Region Coach of the Year.
East Bladen Athletic Director Patty Evers was named the NCSCA Athletic Director/Administrator of the Year.
