ELIZABETHTOWN – The Braves scored a pair of 1st inning runs and held on for a 2-1 Bladen Dixie Boys Baseball victory over the Yard Goats Wednesday night at County Park.
Chase Bryan, Luke Bryant and Brooks Carroll drew walks in the Braves’ 1st inning and Cole Brisson was hit by a pitch. Bryan and Bryant both scored.
The Yard Goats bunched singles by Corben Chadwick, Aidan Thompson and Brady Marlowe in the 2nd inning to score their run. Chadwick cracked the 1st single and scored the run.
Chadwick, Thompson, Marlowe, Ryne Priest and Drake Gause connected for 1 hit each for the Yard Goats. Luke Bryant belted a single for the only Braves hit.
Chase Bryan pitched all 4 innings for the Braves and struck out 7 while allowing a run on 5 hits and 2 walks. Chadwick struck out 11 batters and allowed only 1 hit in his 4 innings on the mound for the Yard Goats but allowed 7 walks and a hit batter.
