TABOR CITY – Bladen County pounded Whiteville 21-1 Saturday in an elimination game in the Diamond Youth Baseball District 2 AA (Coach Pitch) Supplemental Tournament.
Bladen County advances to a semifinal game Sunday at 2:30 against Elizabethtown. The winner of that game will play South Columbus for the championship.
For Bladen County: Jensen Burney batted 4-for-4 with a home run and 2 runs scored; Gus Bordeaux batted 2-for-3 with a triple and 2 runs scored; Ny Pryor batted 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored; Drake Washington batted 3-for-3 with 3 runs scored; Greyson Carver batted 3-for-3 with a double and a run scored.
Other Bladen hitters included: BayLyn Brisson batted 3-for-3 with 2 runs scored; Jyheem McRae singled and scored a run; Coy Wilkins batted 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored; Garrison Sykes batted 3-for-3 with 2 runs scored; Noah Kinlaw batted 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored; Steven Wilkins batted 3-for-3 and scored 2 runs.
