TABOR CITY – South Columbus outlasted Elizabethtown 27-19 Saturday and handed Elizabethtown their 1st loss of the Diamond Youth Baseball District 2 AA (Coach Pitch) Supplemental Tournament.
Elizabethtown will play Bladen County Sunday at 2:30 and the winner of that game will play South Columbus for the championship.
For Elizabethtown Camden Wooten batted 3-for-4 with a triple and 2 runs scored; Tyler Allen batted 2-for-4 with a run scored; Ryder Butler batted 4-for-4 with a triple and 3 runs scored; Kaison Tatum doubled and scored a run; Atlantis Ripley batted 3-for-4 with a home run and a run scored.
Also for Elizabethtown: Jameson Tatum doubled; Bryson Lee batted 2-for-4 with 2 runs scored; Caysin Dorsett batted 2-for-3 with a run scored; Myles Owens batted 3-for-3 with a triple and 2 runs scored; Weston Price batted 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored; Camden Klass batted 2-for-3 with a double and 2 runs scored; M. J. Bullock batted 3-for-3 with a double and 2 runs scored.
