TABOR CITY – Ny Pryor walloped a 3-run homer in the 5th inning that powered Bladen County to an 8-4 lead and eventual 8-6 victory over South Columbus Sunday in the championship game of the Diamond Youth Baseball District 2 AA (Coach Pitch) Supplemental Tournament.
Pryor’s blast came after Jensen Burney and Gus Bordeaux belted 2-out singles. Bladen County edged ahead 5-4 in the 4th inning when Greyson Carver smashed a double and raced home on Garrison Sykes’ single.
For Bladen County: Jensen Burney batted 3-for-3 with a double and 3 runs scored; Gus Bordeaux batted 2-for-3 with a double and 2 runs scored; Ny Pryor batted 3-for-3 with the home run, 4 runs batted in and 2 runs scored; Drake Washington singled; Greyson Carver batted 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored.
Other Bladen hitters included: BayLyn Brisson batted 2-for-3; Garrison Sykes singled and had an RBI; Noah Kinlaw singled; Steven Wilkins singled; Jojo Adams batted 2-for-3.
