Elizabethtown remained undefeated with a 20-0 Bladen Five Middle School Conference football victory at Clarkton School of Discovery Thursday night.

The Cougars took a 6-0 first quarter lead when quarterback LeFrederick Wooten tossed a 10-yard touchdown pass to Ethan Johnson. The conversion attempt failed.

Jordan Robinson darted 20 yards for a second-half touchdown that stretched the Cougar lead to 12-0. Again the conversion attempt was unsuccessful.

Majuan McKoy raced 20 yards for the final Elizabethtown touchdown. Cody Butler ran the 2-point conversion for a 20-0 lead.

“It was a good defensive first half for both teams,” said the Elizabethtown coaches. “We made some adjustments at halftime and pulled away in the second half.”

Elizabethtown, now 5-0, will host 4-1 Bladenboro Thursday night in the game that will decide first place in the Bladen Five. Clarkton will entertain Tar Heel Thursday night in the game that will decide third place in the conference.
