Elizabethtown, NC – Board of Education members recently recognized child nutrition staff members who have earned additional food service certification.
During the February board member, the Child Nutrition Department announced that nine of its’ school staff have achieved their School Nutrition Association Level 1 certification. This is certification beyond the mandatory basic level food safety and sanitation certifications. As a member of the School Nutrition Association, staff members have the opportunity to increase their food service knowledge and skills through the SNA Certification Program.
Bladen County participants in the program chose to earn this certification on their own time, independent of their job duties and responsibilities. Additionally, all child nutrition staff at Clarkton School of Discovery and Dublin Primary has received their Level 1 Certification.
