Three West Bladen girls are playing key roles on the Lumberton All-Star team that opens play in the Dixie Belles Softball North Carolina State Tournament Saturday at Town Creek Park in Winnabow.
Conner Brisson, Carley Dawson and Abby Dawson were all members of the Lumberton All-Star team that won the 2015 Dixie Belles North Carolina State Tournament and finished in second-place in the 2015 Dixie Belles World Series in Louisiana.
Lumberton opens this year’s state tournament at 9 a.m. Saturday against East Columbus. The double-elimination tournament will continue through Wednesday.
