Bladen County is under a Tropical Storm warning due to Tropical Storm Hermine. The storm is moving north-northeast at 14 mph with sustained winds of 70 mph.
The National Weather Service forecasts the storm to continue to track across the coastal Carolinas. A flash flood watch remains in effect for all areas of northeast SC and southeastern North Carolina.
Winds are forecast to increase on Friday afternoon with worst conditions occurring Friday night into Saturday morning.
Rainfall amounts of between 4 and 7 inches are possible with locally higher amounts possible.
People are encouraged to follow the progression fo this storm and prepare for gusty tropical storm force winds and motorists are urged not to drive through flooded areas.
