The Elizabethtown Town Council held their noon work session on Monday and recognized Eugene Montgomery of the Public Works Department on his retirement. Montgomery has worked for the town for 17 years and prior to that had 20 years of service in the military.
Public Works Director Pat DeVane said, “It has been my pleasure to work with Eugene.” He explained that Montgomery always does a good job and always gives his best while on the job.
“I enjoyed being here with the town,” said Montgomery.
Mayor Sylvia Campbell presented Montgomery and his wife, Florida, with a gift from the town during the noon session.
