ContributedMatthew Strickland, Bladen County Row Crops and Commercial Horticulture Extension Agent announced, “We have a great event coming up called the Agricultural Wellness and Landowner Day on February 7, 2024. It will begin at 8 am. We’ll have several speakers coming in to give updates and educational resources around farm safety, pesticide education, landowner resources, and an update from the office of Representative Rouzer.”
There will be free health and cancer screenings, as well as a presentation of the types of cancer and their prevention from the Gibson Cancer Center.We will have respirator fit testing and medical clearance available for pesticide applicators.Lunch will be provided, to register, please call 910-862-4591.
