An evening with Brooke Simpson (with Lakota John and Layla Locklear opening) will be held at the Carolina Civic Center Historic theater at 7 pm Saturday, October 13.
From recording her first song at the age of two years old, to being a part of NBC’s The Voice, Brooke Simpson’s life story is one with her music. She is a powerhouse vocalist who is passionate about songwriting and people. This past winter she received a four chair turn on NBC’s “The Voice” talent competition, with Miley Cyrus as her coach, charting on the iTunes top 10 week after week, and ultimately getting third place on the show’s 13th season. Originally from Hollister, NC, Brooke Simpson now resides in Los Angeles with her husband. Special guests Lakota John and Layla Locklear will open.

Tickets are $35 with assigned seating and can be purchased on-line by going to the theater’s web site atwww.carolinaciviccenter.com. Tickets also can be purchased in-person or with credit card or cash noon to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday through the administrative offices in the theater’s second floor (enter on Fourth Street side), or by calling the Civic Center at (910) 738-4339. Tickets can also be purchased at the door (if available). Theater lobby box office opens for ticket sales one hour prior to performance.
The Carolina Civic Center Historic Theater is a beautifully-restored treasure listed on the National Register of Historic Places that offers visitors a unique and visually stunning experience.
