Crystal Dowd, SGA Advisor, stated that students visited both the House and Senate sessions of the General Assembly, and had the opportunity to meet and talk with members of the House of Representatives and Senators.

“The students learned a lot about how state government operates including how the legislative agenda is determined,” remarked Dowd.

The Student Government Association is designed to enhance the general welfare of students and to facilitate communication between the student body, faculty, and administration. The Association provides a means through which students can participate in the governance of the college.

The SGA attends regional and state conferences and meetings, and sponsors numerous campus-wide student activities.
