Bladen Community College’s Continuing Education Department will host an Administrative Professionals Day Luncheon on Wednesday, April 24, at 12 noon in the college auditorium.  This event gives employers throughout the county a great opportunity to show their appreciation to their administrative professionals—assistants, receptionists, secretaries and other office professionals—by inviting them to this special event in their honor.  The program is open to supervisors as well.

“The administrative staff of any organization is an indispensable part of the everyday operation of the entity, says BCC Continuing Education Vice President Sondra Guyton.  “This event gives those of us who so heavily depend on the support and loyalty of our administrative personnel an opportunity to say ‘thank you’ in a very special way,” added Guyton.

In addition to a delicious lunch and networking, Dr. Antonia Beatty, Assistant Superintendent of Bladen County Schools, will speak on the importance of customer service in the workplace.  Dr. Beatty is a native of Bladen County.  She holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Fayetteville State University and a Master’s Degree in School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.  Dr. Beatty earned a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from Wingate University and has over 20 years experience in Bladen County Schools as a teacher, school administrator, and district office administrator.

Reservations are required and the cost is $20 per person.  Reservations and additional information may be obtained by calling Tracy Smith at 910.879.5577, or by email tsmith@bladencc.edu.
