Big Blue Stores is gearing up to celebrate 40 years in business this weekend. The Big Blue Stores are planning a special sale event for Friday through Sunday.

“Our 40th anniversary means the world to us. Being in business for several decades is a major accomplishment and gives us an opportunity to thank our customers and our employees,” said Tim Clifton, General Manager of Big Blue Stores in North Carolina.

Clifton said the Big Blue Stores in North Carolina have been locally owned and operated for 40 years and the employee who set the store in 1978 continues to work at the Big Blue Store in Clinton on a full-time basis.

“We’ll have a special sale event those three days, along with door prizes on Friday and Saturday (10 AM – 4 PM) and a light lunch on Saturday (11:30 AM – 2 PM),” said Clifton.

Clifton said Big Blue Stores expanded from Indiana to Clinton, NC in 1978.  Currently, there are three locations in North Carolina:  Clinton, Elizabethtown and Kinston.

“We serve both the commercial farmer as well as the hobby farmer. In addition to offering products for the home, we also have a parts and service department,” said Clifton.

Big Blue Store customers can find anything from clothing, home décor items, power equipment, hand tools, pet supplies, auto and marine parts, farm supplies, feed – just about anything for farm, ranch and home!

“Our goal to give good customer service and offer a wide range of products at a fair price continues to this day,” said Clifton.

When asked what he sees as the future for Big Blue Stores?

“To continue to give our customers a great shopping experience and give back to the communities we’re located in,” said Clifton.

The Big Blue Store in Elizabethtown is open 7 days a week. The store hours are  Monday – Saturday from 7:30 AM – 6 PM and on Sunday from 12 PM – 5 PM.  The phone number is (910) 645-2222.
