The Bladen County Board of Commissioners will consider several ARPA-enabled project applications, recognize employees for service awards and receive an update regarding an expungement program Monday during its regularly scheduled meeting.

The board is scheduled to meet Monday, April 17 at 6:30 p.m. inside the Commissioners’ Room located on the lower level of the Bladen County Courthouse in Elizabethtown. The meeting is open to the public.

Thus far, the board has allocated $3.423 million of its $6.355 million it received from the federal government’s American Rescue Plan Act. There are 15 applications are various stages of completion and awaiting approval.

The board will recognize several employees for years of service. Among the group is Yvette Ross for 30 years at the Department of Social Services. Twenty-five year service awards will be presented to Lisa Allison (DSS), Rhonda Caballero (DSS), Sally Thompson (Environmental Health) and Angela Stanley (Health Department).

Commissioner Michael Cogdell will provide an update regarding reconvening an expungement clinic in Bladen County through Legal Aid of North Carolina.
