WILMINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA – Bladen Community College (BCC) recently signed a Guaranteed Admissions Agreement with UNC-Wilmington.

“This is just one more way that we can show students the commitment that exists between our college and UNCW,” said Jeff Kornegay, Executive Vice -President and Chief Academic Officer of Bladen Community College. “Students can come to BCC to complete their first two years and transfer seamlessly to UNCW to receive their bachelor’s degree.”

This new agreement is an additional way to facilitate a smooth transition for transfer students at BCC who are seeking a four-year degree at UNCW. In addition to the agreement that was signed, UNCW has also employed a transfer student success advisor that will be serving BCC to help students complete the admissions process and understand the requirements necessary to pursue a degree at UNCW.

“Community colleges exist to open doors and create new opportunities,” said Mr. Kornegay. This agreement with UNC-W is a good example of opening a door for our students. To learn more about becoming a student at Bladen Community College, call 910.879.5500 or visit our website at www.bladencc.edu.
