Bladen Community College will welcome new and returning students to campus as the fall semester registration begins next week. Counselors and faculty advisors will be on hand to assist students in registering for classes and obtaining information for a successful community college experience.

“The staff and faculty of BCC are always energized when students return to campus,” remarks Jeff Kornegay, Executive Vice President and Chief Academic Officer. “The excitement of new opportunities and new beginnings prevails among everyone here.”

“We have an excellent collaborative relationship with the public school system,” explains Barry Priest, Vice President for Student Services. “High school students can take transferrable college credits while simultaneously receiving high school course credits.  We anticipate growth in our Career and College Promise Program (both College Transfer and Career Technical Education)
for the fifth consecutive year.”

“Our semester enrollment for students in continuing education and workforce development training is typically very strong,” comments Sondra Guyton, Vice President for Workforce and Continuing Education. “Our allied health and EMS programs continue to be among the most successful programs we offer.”

Registration is scheduled for July 17 – 18 and final fall registration dates are planned for August 7- 8. A welcome and information tent will be set up near Student Services (Building 2). At the tent, students can pick up information packets and other college materials. There will also be someone there to guide students in the process and direct them around campus to places such as
the Student Resource Center and Financial Aid Office.

Fall semester classes begin August 15th and a Welcome Week is planned for students the week of August 19th thru 23 rd . Welcome week’s purpose is to introduce students to college services and resources while also fellowshipping and having fun.
