CLARKTON – The North Carolina Dixie Youth Majors Division 2 state tournament will be played at the Clarkton Dixie Youth Baseball Complex beginning Saturday.
Opening ceremonies will be held Friday beginning at 7 p.m. with an Around-the-Horn competition preceding the ceremonies at 6 p.m.
Play begins Saturday with six games beginning at 10:30 a.m. Area teams competing include Red Springs, Waccamaw, Burgaw, Shallotte, Town Creek, Southport-Oak Island, and Lockwood Folly.
Admission to the tournament will be $6 for ages 13 and over. Ages 12 and under will be admitted free.
