The Bladen County board of Commissioners will meet tonight (Monday, April 16) at 6:30 p.m. to deal with several issues. 

In the consent agenda, the board is asked to approve the proposed agenda, the of the March 27th special meeting and the April 3 regular meeting; budget amendments, county attorney invoices totaling $3,292; tax releases 2-18 and 3-18, and a memorandum of license agreement with Centerville Baptist Church.

The board will conduct a public hearing regarding a rezoning request for a parcel owned by Earl Sykes Jr to be rezoned from residential-agricultural use to commercial for the purpose of an office and a shop. 

The board will also recognize Becky Spearman as the Bladen County Cooperative Extension Director. 

Bladen County Finance Director Lisa Coleman will present the financial dashboard to the Commissioners and Bladen County Health and Human Services Interim Director Wayne Raynor will present a letter of agreement regarding equipment sterilization services with Bladen Medical Associates. 

Bladen County Tax Administrator Renee Davis will present to the Commissioners two bids on county-owned property and will give the board an overview of the Tag and Tax Together program. 

The board will be asked to consider an agreement with Safe Environmental Cleanup to provide stream debris removal services.

The board will consider advisory board appointments for the Elizabethtown Fire district, Health and Human Services Agency and Keep Bladen Beautiful. 

The board will also meet at 5:30 p.m. to review the duties and responsibilities of the Board of Equalization and Review.
