The newly formed Elizabethtown ABC Board was announced. Members appointed were Charles DeVane, William Sheridan and Linda Puglia. The recent vote on the ABC proposition was approved by Elizabethtown voters by a vote of 764 for and 578 against.
Oakie Walters was the club champion at Oak Grove Golf Course. Ellen Gause was the lady’s champion.
The Bladen County Shrine Club held their annual fish fry.
