Hurricane Matthew made a profound effect on the 2nd Anniversary Golf Tournament at Vineyard Golf. The tournament had to be rescheduled for this past Saturday, October 22, from it’s original date. The course was in absolutely perfect condition. Bill Augustine and his entire staff worked relentlessly in get all the Matthew debris cleaned and the water off the course.

The winning team, in the First Flight, was the Lumberton Chevrolet team, with a score of 55. In second place was the Davis Team with a score of 60. In the second flight the team of Norris\Farm Bureau took first place with 64 and the Tom Gooden team took second place with a 66.

Jimmy Davis won the putting contest and Scott Brooks, Allen Keir, Ann Tessenear and Jonathon Gooden won the closest to the pin contest.
