*The Kelly Rescue Squad held a BarBQue dinner at the educational building of the Centerville Baptist Church in Kelly.
*New officers for the Elizabethtown Jaycees were: John Q. Shaw, President, David Hinnant, Jim McLaney, Jim Clark, Vice Presidents, Larry Barnett, Secretary, Hayes Petteway, Treasurer, new directors Leonard Chestnutt, Stuart Campbell, Wayne Edge and Jimmy Huggins.
*The Elizabethtown Kiwanis Club had a shad fry and bake at the Elizabethtown Community Building.
