*The Gardner-Webb College of Boiling Springs presented their Chamber Chorus in Concert at the Dublin Baptist Church.
*Top winners of the Annual 4H Bladen Fashion Show were Amy Fields, Carol Stevens and Willette Campbell.
*Bladen County Voting Day came with the following races. The following candidates were running to unseat Sherriff John B. Allen:
Rodney E. Sutton, H.B. Carroll, H. Graden Melvin and Jabe T. Frink.
Running for the Bladen County Board of Education were: Lexie Gooden, Rev. C.T. Bowen, Jim McLaney, Gene E. Thompson and Lemuel A. Smith, Jr.
Running for the Board of County Commissioners were: Madison S. Lewis, James C. Bellamy, Wilbur Register, Braxton Edge, James L. Deaver, R.C. Bridger, Jerry C. Barnes, William D. (Billy) Smith, Robert G. Hester, William A. Butler, William C. Keith and W. Vance Clark.
