March 11, 2021 – North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services announced today that beginning March 17, 2021 people in Group 4 who have a medical condition that puts them at higher risk and people who live in additional congregate settings will be eligible for vaccination. This update will vastly increase the number of people who will be eligible for the vaccine.

Bladen County Health and Human Services Director, Dr. Teresa (Terri) Duncan, DNP, NE-C, CPHQ, announced, all vaccine appointment slots are filled for this week. Bladen County Health Department COVID HOTLINE (910-872-6291) staff will resume making appointments next week until open slots are filled. The COVID HOTLINE is the only way to secure an appointment. Your continued patience and understanding is appreciated.

On the day of your appointment

  • Please bring your health insurance card
  • Please arrive for your appointment on time, but no more than 15 minutes early
  • Wear a short-sleeved shirt (for easier accessibility for those administering the vaccine)
  • If this is your second dose vaccine, bring your COVID-19 Vaccination Card

*Beginning March 12, 2021, the Bladen County Health Department is asking patients to please bring a copy of their insurance card to their COVID-19 vaccine appointment if applicable. Insurance is not required to receive a vaccine and there will be no out-of-pocket cost to any patient.
