Faye M. Boyne, NC DOT with the North Carolina Department of Transportation has issued an updated listing of road closings in Bladen County. They are as follows:
CLOSINGS:
US701
Lane shift for shoulder closure and to move southbound traffic to northbound bridge for the purpose of debris removal from under the southbound Cape Fear River bridge. 11′ lane restriction is in place in this section. Contractor to remove debris.
SR1709 Coley Road
SR1709 Coley Road will close on Monday April 22, 2019 at 8:00 am for cross line repair. The road will remain closed through Tuesday
May 07, 2019. There will be no detour.
UPCOMING CLOSINGS:
SR1712 Lisbon Road
SR1712 will be closing on Tuesday May 8, 2019 at 8:00 am. for crossline repair. The road will remain closed for two weeks through May 22, 2019.
ELWELL FERRY:
The Ferry remains closed due to high water in the Cape Fear River.
