Ms. Faye M. Boyne with the North Carolina Department of Transportation announced some roads closures and a wide traffic restriction in Bladen County.
CLOSINGS:
US Highway 701N
oth lanes of the North Bound US Highway 701 over the Cape Fear River is closed. Traffic will be rerouted to the Southbound lanes. The closure has a WIDE LOAD TRAFFIC RESTRICTION. The closure is from November 22, 2019 at 8:00 am through February 28, 2020 at 5:00 pm.
NC41 & NC410
Intersection of NC41 & NC410 is closed for construction of a Roundabout. There is a signed detour. Detour is in place traffic on NC410 will use SR1107 (Pleasant Grove Church Road). Traffic on NC41 will use NC131 to SR107 (Center Road) back to NC 41. Use caution while driving on the new pattern and be aware that the detour routes have existing stop signs at some intersections.
SR1796 Smith Circle
SR1796 Smith Circle will be closed tomorrow January 8, 2020 8:00 am through January 22, 2020 5:00 pm. The road will be closed passed Pait Apartments to US701 (Poplar Street). It will be closed for repairs.
SR1752 Microwave Tower Road
SR1752 Microwave Tower Road is closed for crossline repair. This is closed from January 13, 2020 8:00a. through January 24, 2020 5:00 pm

Elwell Ferry is closed due to high water. It will re-open as soon as the water level goes down and it is safe to operate.
