According to the Department of Defense Education Activity, Career and Technical Education Month, or CTE Month, is a public awareness campaign that takes place each February to celebrate the value of CTE and the achievements and accomplishments of CTE programs across the country.

CTE promotes and supports locally-based middle and high school programs that provide 21st-century academic and technical skills for all students. According to North Carolina Public Instruction, the mission of Career and Technical Education (CTE) is to empower all students to be successful citizens, workers, and leaders in a global economy. CTE gives purpose to learning by emphasizing real-world skills and practical knowledge. Programs in Career and Technical Education are designed to contribute to the broad educational achievement of students, including basic skills such as reading, writing, and mathematics, as well as their ability to work independently and as part of a team, think creatively, solve problems, and utilize technology.

Below are some educators Bladen County Schools have spotlighted so far this month.
