The Bladen County School board had a lot to celebrate on Thursday 16, 2017. Awards were given out for technology achievements, attendance, and certified certificates.
However, the most impressive may have been the award for the second year in a row. Bladen County Schools obtained the top top in North Carolina by offering the most CTE (Career/Technical Education) courses to their students.
CTE classes help students connect what they learned to the real world according to the state’s Ready Set Go website. It can help students gain key skills to help you get a job after you graduate. It’s also a great way to explore career options and meet the people who work in them. Some students might be able to earn college credit in high school in some of the classes.
