The talent competition, My Time To Shine, is usually held at the Carolina Civic Center Historic Theater in downtown Lumberton. This year the show will be held virtually.

In the past, the competition included all categories of talent – from singing and dancing to juggling, instrumental and more, with contestants competing for a top prize of $1,000. In 2016, Bladen County native Haley Hall won first place in the competition.

This year the competition will feature Bladen County resident Addison Long. If you would like to support Addison Long for the People’s Choice, purchase a ticket to see the show through her link. Tickets are on sale, but the show will be broadcasted on Saturday, April 17, 2021. Natasha Russ-Long, Addison’s mother, said, “Virtual shows can sell out too! She’s so excited to be back on a stage. It’s been way too long!”
