Bladen Online’s Pet of the Week is Girl, a 3 year-old female bulldog mix.

Girl is a very friendly pup and loves to play. She is very affectionate and whenever she meets people, she gets so excited her whole body wiggles, says Shelter Manager Karen Suggs. The only thing the shelter cautions about is that Girl doesn’t get along with every dog she meets. It’s recommended that a slow introduction is made if there is another dog in the household.

Girl has been looking for a special someone to give her a loving home. Could it be you?

The Shelter has a variety of pets ready for adoption. The cost to adopt a dog is $50. The cost to adopt a cat is $40. Both fee’s include the animal’s first required shots. The adoption hours are Monday through Friday from noon until 5 p.m.

The Bladen County Animal Shelter also accepts donations of dog food, treats, toys and cat litter.

Bladen County Animal Shelter is located at 506 Smith Circle in Elizabethtown. For information or questions call (910) 862-6918.
