Bladen Soil and Water Conservation District has announced the Area 7 first place winners in the 2023 Poster, Essay, and Slide Show contests for Bladen County academy, primary, elementary, middle school, and high school students.
This year’s theme is “Water, the Cycle of Life.” These students won the Bladen Soil & Water Conservation District competition, and will advance to state-level competition. The district covers nine counties, including Bladen County.
Poster (Third-Fifth grades)
1st place, 5th grade: Crystal Sanchez-Plata, Bladenboro Middle School
Essay (Sixth-Eighth grades)
1st Place, 7th Grade: Everlee Nance, Tar Heel Middle School
1st Place, 8th Grade: Joseph Martinez, Elizabethtown Middle School
Slide Show (Sixth-Twelfth grade)
1st place: 6th Grade: Jeremiah Bryan, Bladenboro Middle School
