Students who won the district competition and first-place Area winners have advanced to state-level competition. The District covers Bladen County, and Area 7 covers nine counties.

“The District is happy to have had so many students participate this year in our contests, and wants to express their gratitude to the local teachers who made time in their busy schedules to fit in these competitions,” the Soil and Water Conservation District said in a release. The organization believes that teaching children the importance of conserving the natural resources at an early age will benefit everyone in the future.
