Bladenboro has hired Alexis Craig of Lumberton to be the town’s clerk and finance officer.
Craig, who accepted the town’s offer Tuesday, will be paid $31,132 per year. She is scheduled to begin work Nov. 3, according to the agreement.
The job offer came after the board interviewed several candidates Monday night and two candidates in September. Melanie Hester resigned as clerk and finance officer last month after more than 17 years with the town.
