Spring has officially been welcomed into Bladen County on Saturday, April 15th. A dual spring and Easter celebration happened all over the campgrounds of Camp Clearwater, which included many events for kids and adults.
The festivities kicked off with a children’s Easter egg hunt and bicycle raffle. During the afternoon, many vendors and inflatables took over the main street, including a taco, Hawaiian, and Caribbean food truck. Sunset Slush was also there in order to help the people cool down in the heat.
The kids had more fun with a jelly bean planting, allowing adults to prepare for their Easter egg hunt on the waterfront. The night winded down with The Revelers Band playing live at the dance floor in front of the Camp Clearwater arcade. Camp Clearwater is located at White Lake and draws thousands of tourists annually. White Lake’s next planned event is next month’s White Lake Water Festival, planned for May 19th and 20th, featuring bands, more vendors, a car show, and many other attractions at Goldston’s Beach.
