Bladen Community College (BCC) is gearing up to commemorate the historic event of Juneteenth with a vibrant and engaging program on Monday, June 19th. This particular day holds tremendous significance in American history as it marks the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. In collaboration with local community organizations and individuals, Bladen Community College has organized a program filled with educational activities, cultural performances, and heartfelt celebrations to honor this momentous occasion.

Sondra H. Guyton, Vice President for Institutional Advancement & Community Relations at BCC, announced the Juneteenth program aims to educate attendees about this landmark day’s rich history. Attendees will gain insights into the struggles faced by African Americans and the progress made in the fight for equality.

BCC recognizes the importance of celebrating Juneteenth as a family. The program will ensure an inclusive and enjoyable experience for attendees of all ages. The Juneteenth program emphasizes community engagement and collaboration.

The Juneteenth program will be held on Monday, June 19th, and promises to be an inspiring and enlightening event, with guest speaker Minister Danielle Melvin Koonce. BCC invites the community to honor Juneteenth and work towards a more inclusive and equitable future for all.

The event will start on Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the John Darrell Page Resource Center, building number 7.
