A celebration to remember is coming back to town. Fans of Whoville, you are invited to the Who-village to join in some festive fun, the Grinch, Santa, Paw Patrol, and many more characters will invade Tar Heel on December 2, 2023. We are still looking for donations of gloves and hats. Life of Giving non-profit will give you a tax write-off.

Vanessa McNeill in the Tar Heel Community announced the Who-village would invade Chicken Foot Road on December 2, 2023, and come back for holiday fun on Saturday, December 16, 2023.

Organizers explained the event will run only two days this year, so mark your calendars.

According to McNeill, admission to the event is free, and there is a whole list of exciting things to take advantage of during the Whoville Invasion.

The list includes:

  • Train rides for small kids and Christmas hayrides for older children and adults will be offered.
  • Walk-thru Christmas lights!
  • Letter writing to Santa.
  • Skating Rink for Small kids.
  • Gift giveaway drawing every 30 minutes.
  • Hot chocolate.
  • Popcorn.
  • Candy.
  • S’mores.
  • Photos with the Grinch, Santa, and all the characters.

McNeill said, “It’s a small event, but it’s large enough for the kids and the community.” According to McNeill, Mayor May Who, Santa Clause, Martha May Who, Cindy Lou Who, Teacher Rue Who, and the Cat and the Hat will all be featured in the invasion.

Parents are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy a S’more.

The Whoville Invasion will be held at 704 Chicken Foot Road.
