Spread the love

The Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is “planting the seeds for a successful festival season,” according to the Chamber’s Terri Dennison. In the April newsletter, the Chamber of Commerce shares more ways to advertise your business and support the community, upcoming events, and more.

Festivals in the community serve as an opportunity to make connections, advertise, have fun, and grow both businesses and the community. White Lake Water Festival is a big event in Bladen County, and has been for years. With Water Festival Weekend drawing near (May 19-20), Dennison asks the following question to business owners:

“Have you considered all the opportunities to increase your business exposure through sponsoring one of the Chamber’s 4 events this year?”

According to the Chamber’s April newsletter, the four events are:

White Lake Water Festival – May 19-20

• Sunset Jams Concert Series: June 16 in Elizabethtown, July 21 in White Lake, August 18 in Elizabethtown

• Fourth of July Fireworks – July 4 at White Lake

• Bladen County Christmas activities – Nov. 25-Dec. 16 in various locations. Includes: Shop Local Saturday, Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting, Lighting of the Lake, Elf Scavenger Hunt, and Christmas at the Farmer’s Market

The events listed above are free-admission events, which is made possible thanks to sponsorships. By sponsoring these events as a business owner, you are planting seeds that will help both your business and the community to grow and prosper.

The Chamber would also like to share that ad sales for the Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce have begun. Dennison shared, “The Community map will be the main resource for reaching out to families, visitors, and businesses. This map will be accessible in-print, online, as well as via your mobile device.”

The map will also be distributed to those seeking information on our area, current residents, new businesses, and more. This is yet another opportunity to promote both your business and community growth.

By promoting our community, big things can happen! According to Dennison, “Last summer, we worked with Visit NC and their guide publisher to arrange a photo shoot at White Lake. The end result is that White Lake is featured on the wrap-around cover of the 2023 Visit NC Guide. Thank you to White Lake Holiday Resort for providing the location and talent for the photo shoot.”

There are several events happening this month. Mark your calendars!
