In anticipation of severe weather conditions stemming from Hurricane Idalia, the Town of Elizabethtown has announced crucial changes to its scheduled activities. GFL Trash collection services are set to be suspended on Thursday, August 31, 2023. To accommodate the disruption, customers who usually receive collection services on Thursday will now have their trash and recycle collection take place on Friday, September 01. Similarly, customers with scheduled collection on Friday will experience a shift to Saturday, September 02.
The Town advises all residents to refrain from placing their trash containers out for collection until the storm has safely passed. Prioritizing safety, this measure aims to prevent any potential hazards or complications that could arise during inclement weather.
