The Bladen County Board of Commissioners recognized several employees on Monday night for their years of service to the county.

Bladen Commissioners Chairman Charles Ray Peterson and Vice-Chairman Ray Britt presented each employee with a framed certificate and check to commemorate their service.

“Thank you for what you do for the county,” said Chairman Peterson

Recognized were Kent Porter with BARTS for 20 years of service, Sherena Bethea and Tywana Locklear of the Bladen County Department of Social Services for five years of service each, and Bladen County Board of Elections Director Cynthia Shaw for 30 years of service.

Also recognized but unable to attend the meeting were Amy Hinson of Bladen County Department of Social Services with 10 years of service, Kenneth Clark with Bladen County Emergency Management with 5 years of service, Bonnie Guyton with Bladen County EMS with 10 years of service, Stacie Kinlaw with Bladen County Cooperative Extension with 5 years of service, Tabitha Butler with the Bladen County Health Department with 10 years of service, Rodney Hester with the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office with 15 years of service, Karen Davis with the Soil and Water Conservation office with 20 years of service, and Ricky Hall with Bladen County Solid Waste with 20 years of service.
