WASHINGTON – On Thursday, Congressman Robert Pittenger (NC-09) joined other pro-life leaders at a press conference in front of the U.S. Capitol to speak on a disturbing investigation into Planned Parenthood and what women’s health care services they actually provide conducted by Live Action, an investigative non-partisan, non-profit organization.

Planned Parenthood claims to offer comprehensive women’s healthcare services, but a closer look reveals the truth – Planned Parenthood is little more than a big abortion business. 92 out of 97 Planned Parenthood centers called by Live Action stated they do not provide prenatal care. Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood’s annual reports show they kill 320,000 innocent children every year. “What Planned Parenthood has done under the pretext of providing services for women has been a lie, and they have entrapped women, hundreds of thousands of them, to come to their offices on the pretext that they would receive services, prenatal – sonograms – none of which, essentially, are available,” Congressman Pittenger said.

Last week, Congressman Pittenger sent a letter to President Trump, cosigned by 147 Members of Congress, to outline shared pro-life priorities, including defunding Planned Parenthood.
