Jason Disbrow of Southport was named as a District Court judge for the 13th Prosecutorial District to fill the vacant term of Marion Warren who was appointed to serve as the interim director of the North Carolina Administrative Office of the Court.
Ninety-seven members of the 13th Judicial Bar were present were present in the Bladen County Superior Court Room on Thursday. Nine were not allowed to vote as they resided out of the district.
Disbrow was introduced to the group by 13th Judicial Bar President Allen Johnson of the Johnson Law Firm.
Disbrow’s appointment must be approved by Gov. Pat McCrory. He added that he also plans to file for election to the seat.
