LELAND — Bladenboro swept both games of a Dixie Belles doubleheader Sunday defeating the North Lady Dodgers 17-4 in the opener then blanking the South Lady Sharks 13-0 in the nightcap. Bladenboro remained undefeated with a 9-0 record.

Bladenboro exploded for 14 runs in the 1st 2 innings enroute to the 17-4 win the opener. Twelve batters went to the plate and 9 runs were scored in the 1st inning as Bladenboro grabbed a 9-2 lead.
Maycee Kinlaw walked, stole a base and darted home when Brenna Hester laced a single to center field. Addison Wilcox smashed a triple to left that plated Hester. Hadley Dove poked a single to right that scored Wilcox. Adyson Carroll smoked a triple to center that scored Dove. Chloe Walters smoked a single past short that plated Carroll.
Chloe Walters stole a base, and Anna Walters yanked a single to right. An error on the play scored Chloe Walters. Anna Walters stole 3rd base then stole home. Haili Andrews walked, and Keeleigh Atkinson was hit by a pitch. Kinlaw lined a double that scored Andrews, and Hester knocked in Kinlaw with a single.
Wilcox led off the Bladenboro 2nd inning with a single, stole a base and dashed home when Dove pounded a double to left. Carroll reached on a fielder’s choice, and Chloe Walters roped a single to left that scored Dove. Bristol Allen pulled a single to the right side and an error plated Carroll. Chloe Walters scored on Anna Walters’ fielder’s choice, and Andrews cracked a single that plated Allen for a 14-2 lead.
Kinlaw walked, and Hester delivered a single to start the 3rd inning. Both runners stole a base then scored when Carroll sliced a single past short. Chloe Walters drove in Carroll with a single that pushed the margin to 17-4.
Chloe Walters and Hester both batted 3-for-3 with 2 runs scored to lead the Bladenboro hitters. Chloe Walters had 3 runs batted in, and Hester had 2 RBIs. Carroll finished 2-for-3 at the plate with a triple, 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Wilcox batted 2-for-3 with a triple, an RBI and 2 runs scored.
Dove turned in a 2-for-3 game with a double, 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Kinlaw doubled, had an RBI and scored 3 runs. Allen, Anna Walters, Andrews and Atkinson added 1 hit each. Anna Walters and Andrews had 1 RBI each. Allen, Anna Walters and Andrews scored 1 run each.
Dove pitched a 3-hitter and allowed 4 runs – 3 earned – on 3 hits and 4 walks while striking out 4.

Maycee Kinlaw pitched a 1-hit shutout and struck out 8 batters in 3 innings to lead Bladenboro to a 13-0 victory over the South Lady Sharks in the nightcap.
Kinlaw legged out an infield hit to start the Bladenboro 1st inning, and Brenna Hester, Addison Wilcox, Hadley Dove and Adyson Carroll drew walks. Kinlaw scored on a bases-loaded walk, Hester scored on a passed ball. Chloe Walters’ fielder’s choice plated Wilcox. Dove dashed home on a passed ball, and Haili Andrews’ ground-out plated Carroll for a 5-0 lead.
Bristol Allen blasted a triple in the 3rd inning that scored Carroll who had walked. Anna Walters walked, and Andrews and Keeleigh Atkinson were both hit by pitches. Allen stole home, and Kinlaw slammed a double that scored Anna Walters and Andrews.
Hester was hit by a pitch, and Wilcox walked to force home Atkinson. Dove scorched a single to left that scored Kinlaw, and an error on the play scored Hester. Carroll and Chloe Walters drew walks that forced home Wilcox and padded the lead to 13-0.
Kinlaw batted 2-for-2 with a double, 2 runs batted in and 2 runs scored. Allen hammered an RBI triple and scored a run. Dove singled, had 2 RBIs and scored a run. Chloe Walters had 2 RBI’s, and Wilcox and Andrews had 1 RBI each. Hester, Carroll, and Wilcox scored 2 runs each. Anna Walters, Andrews and Atkinson scored 1 run each.
