On Saturday, July 3, 2021, the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office, Criminal Impact Team conducted a vehicle stop in the 2000 Block of Elwell Ferry Road, Council, North Carolina.
Deputies located a substantial amount of suspected narcotics, a firearm, and US currency during the vehicle stop.
Twenty-year-old Jadakiss Watkins, who is currently out on bond for Attempted Robbery and Murder charges in Columbus County, was charged with; Possess With Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Felony Possession of Schedule VI Controlled Substance, and Possession Drug Paraphernalia.
Nineteen-year-old Kaitlin Mitchell was also charged with the following; Possess with Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Felony Possession of Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Maintain Vehicle for Sale of a Controlled Substance, and Possession Drug Paraphernalia.
Watkins and Mitchell were placed in the Bladen County Detention Center under secured bonds. Jadakiss Watkins received a $10,000 secured bond, and Kaitlin Mitchell received a $15,000 secured bond.
